The Beautiful Game

Way, way back in elementary school, growing up had you asked who do I believe are the most gorgeous athletes on earth, odds are I might've answered outright soccer players without giving a second thought.

Fast-forward to 2010 and I think my tastes may have shifted a just smidge, but I still rank soccer players pretty high on my hierarchy. With of course lean... err smooth... light reflecting (or is it emitting?) athletes like the one above further reinforcing my long-held preference. The beautiful game indeed... wish there were more of him sad.

Ed shows off... (for the camera)

I'll be the first to admit, I'm not exactly the biggest Ed Westwick fan...

Or perhaps maybe even Gossip Girl for that matter mrgreen...

But given that it's a pretty big soccer weekend and Ed makes for a hell of a sexy player on the pitch (whether intentionally or unintentionally cool) and the fact that I've always found him kind of cute regardless, I figured perhaps a little feature of 'Mr. Bass' letting loose a little seems more than enough appropriate given the nascent soccer-related theme.
That + nice legs in short shorts (maybe boxers?) = yours truly is a sucker for...

Notwithstanding the whole soccer kit thing that inches ever so close to becoming a fetish. (*backs away from the cliff*) cool...

And might I reiterate, one hell of a sexy soccer player in that outfit mrgreen. Hm, maybe it might be time for me to give gossip girl another chance... (maybe cool)...

Seattle throws a Solstice Party :)

Superheroes, cartoon characters, friends and family, and some of the neatest/creative ideas for costumes this side of... Well, I suppose maybe this side of Halloween...

Give or take said costumes chipping somewhat during the summer heat. But if you happen to be around the Seattle area (say perhaps somewhere about a neighborhood called Fremont), then odds are kicking off the first/longest day of summer in style might just be one of the more entertaining yearly traditions to look forward to.

As for those of us who live outside of Fremont, I believe I'd like to say... err... (*jaw drops*)...

NSFW Naked men + family friendly + naked men wearing paint + my mouth wide open + naked men who are actually hot, riding down the street in nothing but a smile? ... I mean yeah wow... I would say nothing's being left to the imagination, but some of these costume's/paint jobs are pretty cool cool...
The costumes (or lack thereof) are one thing... But some of these guys are seriously... well, I'd say a couple of them might pass as models. (*looks over the pictures for a moment*)... And you know, if I didn't know better, I'd say perhaps one of them actually might be.

Hm... now where exactly have I seen this orange-polka-a-dotted/conveniently-pixelated-prior-to-clicking gorgeous guy above. (*Mind races back to a two year-old French spread*). No... it couldn't be... Could it?

Eric Bivoino in pretty much nothing more than a couple strokes of paint and a smile at a Seattle solstice au natural parade?... Notwithstanding, some of the other gorgeous guys in attendance, I think this really takes the cake.

And might I add, awesome, awesome leopard outfit on Eric's part... Very fitting indeed cool...

But yeah... Summer's now in full swing and the 2010 Fremont Summer Solstice Parade has come and gone. I'm not exactly sure what my plans are around this time next year, but I'm thinking maybe keeping my schedule clear for a weekend flight around 19th/20th of June 2011 might be something to keep in mind mrgreen...

You know you're hot when...

You know you're hot when... you can look away distracted elsewhere from the camera, and still look utterly stunning from the side. Guys like this are why I've come to love/hate water parks cool.

Mahogany Boisseau

Check out my interview Mahogany Boisseau.  She is a model and the spokeswoman for Naptural Roots Magazine.

How long have you had your hair in its natural texture? I have been natural for 14 years

What challenges have you come across in the modeling world with keeping and loving your natural hair? The biggest challenge is that natural hair modeling is not mainstream yet, natural hair modeling paying jobs are far and few, but I remain positive that this will change.

Would you ever cut or process your hair to please a big client? No, I would not if they do not accept my hair as it is I will not take the job. I am doing this for such a bigger purpose that is way beyond money. I feel like modeling should be more diverse and I will not conform to what the majority of society considers to be beautiful.

What are some of your favorite products? My favorite products currently are all under the “Jane Carter Solution” umbrella. They work the best on my hair but I am still experimenting with new products.

What do you love most about your texture? I love everything about my hair, I love that I can switch up my hairstyles wearing styles like: braids, afros or curls. I love that my hair represents my ancestors and the beauty of god’s creation.

Friday Flowers

It's been a while since I have posted some Friday Flowers. Mum arranged this foliage for me last weekend and in amongst our lovely old garden we found a passion fruit vine so we picked some and plonked them in another vase as above. I'm planning on a quiet weekend pottering around the new house. Hope you have a lovely weekend.
