Detroit Electrified

Question: What's visually stimulating, looks spectacularly sexy in any setting, and plans to ride hard about sometime next year (or the year after), surging forth with heart-pumping/nose-bleed inducing, surges of electrical 'impulses' cool?
Yes, that's right, wow you guys are good confused... Of course it's gotta be none other than the work of art on wheels (aka the Audi E-Tron EV concept car) currently taking this year's Detroit auto show by storm mrgreen.

Sleek in design, forward thinking in (green) innovation, and perhaps one of the sexiest of the new EV cars set to take stage come sometime late 2011/early 2012.
The Audi E-Tron is somewhat of a special case in that not only is it a concept design currently being displayed over in Detroit... but it's also set to go into preliminary production sometime later this year (apparently Audi's serious about bringing this one to the market cool). The car itself will undoubtedly be part of the first generation of electric vehicles set to take to the streets this decade... so perhaps that's already a buyer's beware red-flag right there considering the foward leap in technology. Oh, and I won't bother bringing up the price... I think the term 'steep' might suffice in this case.

That said, the model itself is indeed a thing of beauty. Perhaps a toy for the 'better off than I' crowd (aka preliminary guinea pig sector of the population), but I still enjoy the visual eye-candy Audi's designers came up with. You can check out more on the E-tron specs and speculation over at the NYTimes blog.

Braeden is smoking

Smoking is such a nasty habit... thankfully being smoking hot isn't mrgreen...

Given that I've always been a sucker for gorgeous men in uniforms (with that going doubly so when said gorgeous man has such captivating eyes... and torso beneath said uniform) I think I'm more than willing to forgive regarding the whole smoking thing mrgreen.

Braeden is currently being featured on Michael Downs' super-hot Mascu blog so you can check out a few more of his shots there... (here's hoping he officially makes it one day on the AAG site itself). You can also check out a few more of his past work with Chicago photographer John Gress over on his blog.

Aussie Rugby Hottie

His name is Cameron and he's an Australian rugby player... and, that's about all I know about this gorgeous stranger. Well, that and perhaps the fact that he manages to pull off quite a convincing vintage Marky Mark-esque sexy/cool look cool...
So gorgeous...

But yeah, all I have to go on thus far is simply the name Cameron... and as some of you might've noticed, being that my place of residence is about several thousand miles away from the great nation/continent of Australia, I couldn't begin to have the slightest idea as to whether this guy plays professionally or not... That said, in the tradition of so many gorgeous Aussie Football athletes that come before him, I think it's safe to conclude Cameron here looks quite nice with or without the shorts on.

And yes, these gorgeous photos taken by photographer Thomas Powers quite nicely displays most of Cameron's best angles... Simply head to toe Just Beautiful.

Charity - Project Night Night

Project Night Night

I want to start highlighted charities that are giving back to the community. Project Night Night donates a bag filled with an adorable teddy bear, clothing or blanket and a book, to homeless and or less fortunate children. To donate or read more about them, go to Project Night Night. To find out what shelters they give to, go here.

"Project Night Night donates over 25,000 Night Night Packages each year, free of charge, to homeless children who need our childhood essentials to feel secure, cozy, ready to learn, and significant. Each Night Night Package contains a new security blanket, an age-appropriate children's book, and a stuffed animal -- all nestled inside of a new canvas tote bag. By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children we serve.

Every child who receives one of our Night Night Packages leaves the shelter owning a book which
encourages reading and family bonding, a security blanket which can be cuddled, and a stuffed animal which can become a cherished friend. We have one objective – to deliver our Night Night Packages to every homeless child in the country who needs one. Project Night Night is a tax exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. We work with over 10,000 volunteers each year, and we are the leading provider of nighttime comforts for homeless children."

Looking at the bright side

When you come across a concept and execution that almost surpasses an already stunning subject...

Well, I think that's perhaps a red flag that you might've actually achieved perfection mrgreen. These shots of 24 year-old model Benjamin M. taken by San Fransisco photographer Walter Parada are in fact about as close to photographic perfection as I'd imagine you could get... (what I wouldn't give for a massive poster of the top photo on my wall cool)...

Simply gorgeous... now if you'll excuse me, I think i'll have to fetch my shades cool...

The Sun Rises in the East...

... and makes its way ever so intently to come to rest on a Just Beautiful Horizon cool...

This blog has finally come to the end of its road... is perhaps what a couple detractors might want to hear considering some of the giddiness I've been seeing over the site mysteriously going dormant. Just the concept of a blog meant to celebrate the beauty of man-kind somehow impinging on other blogs doing the same. Wow... i'll never wrap my head around that one confused...

But random internet nuttiness aside, yes, I have in fact been on a self-imposed hiatus for the past month or so now. It was a necessary break after obsessively pursuing my online photography obsession over these past couple of obsessive years cool... That and I've been working on a pretty enjoyable creative-writing project for the past couple of weeks now (which apparently seems to be going quite well). Rest assured though, I have not been 'raped' confused... nor is my broken body currently in a hospital as I struggle diligently to type this out... nor have I been in a car crash, or abducted by probe-happy extra-terrestrials that just happen to sexily resemble my biggest actor crush. I just needed to take a breather, so that's what I went ahead and did.

(Lol, truth be told though, the progression of what might be said and done should anything ever really happen to me is borderline disturbing to read... you guys should honestly see my inbox
mrgreen)...
